Getting a Great
Business Website
Inside-Out Design
Even though we want to design the site so it give the visitor the best possible experience (Outside-In Design), we have to take some time to think through processes from the Inside-Out as well. Later, we'll merge the two designs to create our site design.
What we want to do now is work through the following questions.
- Who are we?
- What do we sell?
- Who buys from us?
- Why? What benefit they get?
This can work well graphically. Start in the center of a page with your company name. Then move outward answering the questions as you go for each key product or service group. Link your answers. Sometimes you'll find that different groups buy the same product or service. Then you can link the same product or service to different groups.
