Law Enforcement Resources
Other Resources

I wish this page could be longer. But there aren't a lot of great resources out there on police leadership, management and supervision. Here are some that I know about. Let me know about others you're aware of.

One of the best books on supervision is Roger Fulton's Common Sense Supervision. No matter how much experience you have and no matter how much reading you've done, you’ll pick up practical wisdom from this handy book.

The author of Common Sense Supervision is Roger Fulton. Roger is a retired Captain in the New York State Police. He's been teaching and writing about good supervision in law enforcement for years. You can check out his law enforcement-specific resources at his Web site.

Another group that does excellent supervisory and leadership training is The Gallagher-Westfall Group, Inc.

I've found two Web sites that offer articles and links related to law enforcement supervisory and leadership training.

Police Training Net brings information a wide array of training resources on a single site. You can search by date or type of training.

The NEIA, MCC, and MCSA Leadership Bulletin Article Index covers a number of issues, among which are leadership, management and supervision.
